Really didn't expect anyone to get this far.  Didn't realize we were that interesting!

I (Aminah) did reptile rescue while living in Dunedin, Florida.  I left the area for about a year and a half but found that I wasn't happy anywhere but in Florida.  I now live in Clearwater, Florida just a stones throw from Dunedin.

It is my hope that I will be able to once again do reptile rescue.  However, I decided that for now I would devote myself to one very special ig; Bertha (AKA BabyGirl)!. 

There is such a need for people to involve themselves with reptile rescue and information dissemination.  It seems that only those involved with reptiles have any idea of their needs and requirements.  Children are raised thinking of cats and dogs as the "normal" pet.  When they see an iguana or bearded dragon, for example, the think it is so cute and want one expecting they can keep it just like a cat or dog.

I am hoping that as my website takes off I can promote it among the younger generation and educate them as to the complicated needs and requirements of reptiles.

Over the years I have had, both as pets and as rescues I've adopted out, iguanas, bearded dragons, savannah monitors, a water dragon and  a blue tongue skink.  I must admit, I am partial to iguanas and bearded dragons.
