Tales About Scales By Ronald Classen

Ahh. Spring at last. Time to put on the leash and let the old cabin-fevered green guy outside to play. Four months of Iowa winter is a long time to wait. Now he can have warm sunshine on his back again and the longer days puts him in a whole lot better mood. Iguana's have a memory, because he does not forget from one summer to the next where HIS favorite places are. Now he can sit on that smooth log and survey his territory once again.
Sitting in the garden and listening to the creek
run, Maybe, now he can relax and not feel like he has to challenge
every
animal and being that comes within his eye-shot. I say "maybe" and I
know
better, because after being together 6 plus years, that just is not going
to
happen. But he is well and happy and content to be outside again and
that
makes for quieter times ahead.
