Tales About Scales

Ahh.  Spring at last.  Time to put on the leash and let the old cabin-fevered green guy outside to play.  Four months of Iowa winter is a long time to wait.  Now he can have warm sunshine on his back again and the longer days puts him in a whole lot better mood.  Iguana's have a memory, because he does not forget from one summer to the next where HIS favorite places are.  Now he can sit on that smooth log and survey his territory once again.

As the human, I have to say that he looks a lot better sitting outside
amongst the daffodils.

Sitting in the garden and listening to the creek run,
is much nicer than indoors hovering under the sunlamp.  I swear, I saw him smile.

Maybe, now he can relax and not feel like he has to challenge every animal and being that comes within his eye-shot.  I say "maybe" and I know better, because after being together 6 plus years, that just is not going to happen.  But he is well and happy and content to be outside again and that makes for quieter times ahead.

A happy five and a half foot long iguana makes for a greatly relieved owner.

Bliss to all.
